District guidance, local crew who know which road is open, lock-ups that are negotiated. Ladakh needs acclimatisation days or you will medevac a first AC.

Season: Kashmir April–June and September–October. Ladakh June–September for most units.

Gear: Batteries die in the cold. We send spares and heated storage.
